As I write this, there are 49 hours left in the Kickstarter Campaign for Miners Creek Band’s 2nd Album. We’re 104% funded with $2,614, which is exciting. We may not make our stretch goal of $3,000, but I’m relieved we achieved this much. We took a gamble and so far it’s paying off. Sure, there’s always the chance that someone may back out at the last minute, but I’m trying to think positively. I’m also trying to turn my mind away from something other than Kickstarter. That’s hard. I’ve spent months planning, preparing, launching, and sharing this Kickstarter. Now it’s almost over and it’s time to think of other things.
It’s time to think about how excited I am to be playing in the Joe Val band showcase tomorrow. It’s time to think about how nervous I am to be giving a reading at the Lincolnville Public Library on Wednesday. It’s time to buckle down on my revisions again and get my manuscript out to Beta Readers. But for all that my mind has been so absorbed with the Kickstarter, it’s been fun to have so much to do for the band. One of my favorite aspects of being in the band is sending out emails to fans and running the band social media pages, connecting with the fans beyond the stage.
Thank you for reading.
